A unique view in the Icelandic countryside
Iceland’s sheep are a frequent topic of conversation for many reasons. During the summer months, sheep are left to roam and graze the highland grasses. With more than 800,000 sheep roaming the island nation, Iceland has far more sheep than people. The ancient tradition of the réttir is how the sheep are herded and returned to their farms for the winter.
Icelandic weather can change quickly, especially in the highlands. Dressing in layers with windproof and waterproof outerwear ensures you're protected from rain, wind, and sudden temperature drops.

*The winner from the lucky draw will receive a set consisting of 1 sweater or jacket, 1 pair of trousers, 1 hat, 1 pair of socks, 1 merino set and 1 pair of gloves. Possible items to choose from are shown here above. Lucky draw ends October 28, 2024. Please have a look at FarmLifeIceland for more information.
